Mua Chee Making Day

Finally got down to making mua chee after making my intention known for a few weeks haha. Got the recipe from my younger-than-me mama. Jadi loh.. my first try some more... quite impressed with myself wth. Hidden talent. Maybe I should just open a stall selling mua chee at the pasar malam.

I roasted the peanuts from scratch leh. So tedious. And then my mum helped to remove the peanut skin. I was gonna take over when she pointed out some peanuts which skin was hard to remove. I thought she was gonna teach me some petua orang tua. Manatau she said 'when you see these peanuts, skin hard to remove right, you just eat it'. -_________-

December

Can't believe it's December already! It's been four months and a certain number of days since I left UK for good. This year Christmas is not gonna be white. AND I'M STILL JOBLESS omg. I'm currently still waiting for my posting till the hair on my head becomes white. Maybe I'll grow enough white hair and a paunch to be Santa Claus without a costume lol. Nexus 5 is on my wishlist ah. Soemeone please sek jo a bit. Sien...

I really wanna blog about my shopping hehehehehe but then my laptop gg haih. Dunno what I did to make my HD spoil? Now I lost all my data and more importantly the pictures from my trips pfft. The IT guy told me he can't retrieve my data and that he'll need to send it overseas and it'll definitely cost MYR1000++ at the very least pfft. WHO ASKED ME NO BACKUP?! I will slowly recover my pics from my friend's external HD okayyy... eventually la see whether I rajin or not wth. Backup or no backup also same la. The external HD may spoil too what. I develop the pics also I lose them wth. Nevermind la, the memories are what that counts.

The wonders of plastic surgery and the stupidity of some people

prepare to be amazeballed.

http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/you-wont-believe-how-these-twin-sisters-looked-like-before-they-got-sponsored

nah, go see the before and after pics of Korean twin sisters who went under the knife. 360 degree face lift wth.

and then they become this...

jeng...

jeng...

jeng.......

walaoeh seriously... what kind of sorcery is this???!!!!

the surgeon also very li hai right... can create the same face for both sisters. i must really give him credit for that.

But i cannot stand some stupid people who keep comparing natural beauty to fake beauty. they expect everyone to look like the Korean pop stars. eh hello, their noses are custom made. and so is the shape of their face. which sentence do you not understand?!!!! really feel like slapping these people.

i told mum that if i were to go to Korea she wouldn't be able to recognise me when i come back bwahahaha. No la, i too chicken to do cosmetic surgeries. which brings me to another question altogether... they need to redo their identity cards or not ah? you'd think they were different people if they committed a crime... unless you took their DNA samples. ahhhh.. just my girl brain doing some thinking wth.

Birthday Weekend

My favourite week of the year... I turn 18 for the sixth time. I really want to put some pictures up but I dunno how to upload pics from my phone to my tablet... IT illiterate hahaha. So this is gonna be wordy.

I finally get to celebrate my birthday in Malaysia. ^^  Went for Japanese food at Zanmai. Cost 80 Malaysian bucks for two. That's like 8 pounds per person. Dirt cheap... and we ate a lot, sashimi, oyster don something, scallop sushi something, salmon roe sushi and a steamboat set. Greedy. Was quite bloated after the dinner.

Also did a bit of splurging at Bodyshop and Sephora. Hehe. Gifts for myself. Considering that this year I spent less on myself compared to last year, it's a big big improvement. #pats self on back. Unemployed what... I must really stop doing the currency conversions soon or else bankruptcy will seem inevitable.

Mum got me a tiramisu cake. Of course I dropped hints as big as cow dung about wanting a cake this year. I ate three quarters of the cake on my own. Talk about binge eating. A lady always has an extra stomach for desserts. I don't have to doubt my gender now. Hahahaha.

Since I'm jobless and therefore very free, I went around reprimanding those who failed to wish me happy birthday hahahahaha. In case you're in shock that I actually do stuff like this, let me tell you this, I'm a very shameless person hahahaha. Those poor people... who asked you to forget my birthday?!

Had seafood barbeque with Jee's lawyer friends. Aihh, more lawyer friends now than I have pharmacists. But that wasn't to celebrate my birthday. Still not very close to them yet. They are so gungho they went all the way to Kuala Selangor to get the catch of the day/ the freshest seafood.

Went for karaoke session at Loudspeaker with a bunch of people who are Manchester University graduates. Jee's friends. Then we played three person's mahjong. Neither me nor Jee knew how to play so we lost = paying tuition fees as they call it lol. Pro mahjong kakis play so fast I can barely catch up. I don't even notice them taking and throwing the tiles although I kind of get the game now.

Ok lah, gotta go practice playing mahjong more.

Dogathon 2013 @ UPM

Attended the Dogathon 2013 hosted by the veterinary faculty of UPM (I think) and other organisations today... being vague LOL cuz I honestly do not know my stuff. Anyway it was a really fun day out for my baobei furkid, Paris. She stays home most of the time so this really is the time for me to bring her out to socialise. We both are social butterflies. It after all is the biggest dog gathering in Malaysia! Too bad it hadn't come across my mind to take pictures there so I'm stealing some off Dogathon's official facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/dogathon13) hehehehe. Didn't see any of Paris' pictures among the lot so I'm offended now. HAHAHAHAHA. I'm a small gas ghost.

Paris had her picture taken by at least 3 persons this year #proud #tear. Last year she was in such a hostile mood she wanted to bite a puppy when it went near her. I guess she is now used to being around other dogs... :)

Malaysia's own K9 unit. I think this is the demonstration where the police dogs sniff out illegal drugs. I missed this as I arrived late. So much for wanting to arrive at 8am. I arrived at 9.30am hahahahaha. I had to have a heavy breakfast. And that takes time okayyyyy.

A lot of free dog food samples and a goodie bag too!!!

Paid for Paris to enter 2 doggie games- Hide and Seek and Master Hunt. The money is going to fund animal shelters so it's money well spent. She sadly lost. But my bao bei is forever a winner *consoles self* hahahaha. But to be honest she wasn't that bad at all ;) #biased

Nope, Paris isn't in the picture.

Left around 11.30am... Bao bei is dead tired and is still sleeping after 7 hours on her pillow next to me as I'm typing this out *heart*

Planting Grapes

Blogging from my tablet cuz my laptop is dead. RIP laptop... think Biki's gonna kill me when she finds out about this cuz her Prague pics are with me and now she'll never get them cuz I've got no back up bwahahaha... (mental note: always have back up in the future). Will be sending my hard disc in for repair la.

Officially an unemployed as of now with no purpose in life. I wake up to find myself starting at the ceiling for the next 12 hours before I retire for the night, only to over sleep till noon the next day. Life as a penganggur...

So then I amuse myself by reading articles on successful people. Especially successful people in the fashion industry. From Malaysia. My conclusion is, I dunno how they do it la... demotivated. Lol. The only thing I do is crap hahaha it's really pointless for you to continue reading this.

Still very wu liao so I read Wedding Guide Asia like I'm getting married tomorrow. Every once in awhile I read international news. And I came across an article on rape and manhood in The Star. They reported very disturbing facts (in Yemen and Pakistan) where the law cannot protect the rights of women there. Some rapists, according to a survey, did it cuz they were bored. You wu liao you go read Wedding Guide Asia la. Honestly they should be given the death row, the only thing is, that'd be way too lenient a punishment. These men should have broom sticks shoved up their anuses, against their will. You scar a young child for life, you pay the consequences. Sadly, most of these men, if not all, go scot free.

How To Make Your Own Pore Strips

I'm currently into skin care (and a little make up). It isn't like I wasn't before, but I brought spending to a whole new level D: don't even get me started on the amount of money I splurged on products recently. I am after all investing in my skin, so you can't blame me for spending luxuriously. I however still like a fat bank balance so I learned how to make my own pore strips lolol. Kononnya to save money la (for my wedding).

Making your pore strip
Ingredients
Milk
Gelatine powder

Use approximately 1 tablespoon of whole milk and half a teaspoon of gelatine. It took me quite a while to get the consistency right. I like mine to be of the same thickness as that of mushroom soup. You can always adjust yours according to preference.

Pop the milk in the dish into the microwave for 5 seconds to heat it up. Then sprinkle the gelatine powder evenly across the milk to prevent clumping.

The milk usually won't be hot enough to dissolve the gelatine so pop the dish back into the microwave for an extra 5-10 seconds. Stir the mixture and you'll get something like this:

Now to apply (you may want to wash your face before preparing your pore strip as it hardens when it cools):

Step 1
Wash your face with your regular cleanser and warm water. This is to open up your pores so that your pore strip will be able to get a firmer grip on your 'heads' (white heads and black heads). Dab dry.

Step 2
Spread in an even layer your pore strip mixture across your T-zone using your finger or an unused make up brush. That is your forehead, nose, cheeks and  chin. Liddis:

If your mixture is too thin, you'll find that it does not form a nice even film across your face. It'll be all drippy and patchy. You'll have to either use less milk or more gelatine the next time.

Step 3
Let it dry! This will take approx 20-30 minutes.

It becomes translucent when dry. And very tight so very shiok (it doubles as a mask).

Step 4
Gently peel your pore strip away. Liddis:

It peels off easily. I can feel it pulling all my fine facial hairs out. Very shiok also lolol.

Step 5
And then you get nice clear skin. Rinse your face with cold water to close up the pores. Use your moisturiser or pore minimiser if you have one.

Yaya, I can see pimples. Exam stress, what to do, right?

Step 6
The funnest part of the whole process- looking at the all the dirt and 'heads' the strip managed to extract.

Can't see anything here because I used a digital camera but there are white heads on it. Pinky swear.

I was addicted to this I did it everyday until the skin around my nose started to peel hahahaha. I'm doing it every other day now and it's such a good alternative. It's so cost effective I can see my purse smiling up at me with pride in its zippers. Plus you get to spread it over as much skin as you please unlike the commercial pore strips that restrict application to your nose and the surrounding areas. The only drawback is THE SMELL. I must say gelatine is smelly, it is after all animal fat. But I got used to that.

GE13

The 13th General Election (GE13). A big hoo-ha in Malaysia. We even gained international publicity for crying out loud. It's a known fact that corruption is rampant in this year's election, flip through any international newspaper and you'll be bound to read about it. Take CNN as an example    http://edition.cnn.com/2013/05/02/world/asia/malaysia-election-preview/index.html?sr=sharebar_twitter. What angers me most is the fact that this is happening under broad daylight and nothing has been done about it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't read of a solution regarding the vote-buying in Malaysia thus far. Chartered flights from East Malaysia? How subtle is that? The Election Commission has failed the Rakyat on this.

Next you give identification cards (IC) to illegal immigrants for your own selfish gains. You are willing to give everything at any cost to uphold your position, but at whose expense? I've read about cases where locals have yet to receive their ICs. Their children are not able to attend school because they do not have proper identification. But here you are, handing ICs out ever-so-effortlessly without (I believe) the proper procedures.

So you win (albeit unfairly), and then what? Now that these people are citizens of Malaysia, you are obliged to protect them and care for them, like how any country would for her people. Are you able to put a roof over their heads and give their children and their children's children an education? My heart goes out to these people whose votes you bought with money. They become the subjects of ridicule and people lash out their dissatisfaction towards a certain local party at them (I do not in any way condone this).

OK, maybe they accepted the bribe against their better judgement but if you put yourself in their shoes, wouldn't you do the same? I'm talking about people who are not very educated and in need of money. It's disheartening to see the insults and remarks hurled at them. Is this the Malaysian hospitality that you promote? It was wrong in the very first place to obtain votes by unlawful means, but you turned a deaf ear to the pleas of the Rakyat (during the Bersih 3.0 rally- duduk bantah). You therefore sparked hatred among the people. Why can't you see the larger picture?

And it all comes down to love. Do you love your people enough to sacrifice (your seat)? At this moment, I doubt that. But it's not even about sacrificing, it's about democracy- the Rakyat's choice. And we, the Rakyat, are deprived of this.

So in the midst of a heated election season, please let's not forget to show some love to those around you.

On a lighter note...

Prague, Czech Republic

Nah, as promised, pictures from Prague (pronounced 'Pra-gie', like how you'd pronounce dengue). If you believed me then you were pwned. Today you learn a new word- that is pwned. By the way before I get carried away, Prague is pronounced Praq.

I must say Prague is one of, if not the prettiest country I've ever visited. Words and pictures do this quaint little medieval town no justice so you can just admire my face in the pictures below thank you. The food wasn't my cup of tea though. Blah

The kraken is awake from a 4 month hibernation and is grumpy. I did CPR on myself cuz I fainted from the cold. It snowed in April/ Spring *points to window* *curses weather*. Anyway see no more ads ------------>
cuz inactive for too long #stupid.

Can never put my head to something for long. Let's hope my marriage lasts hahaha. Blame my astrological sign. Been wasting my time playing tarot cards on the tablet too.

Nah, a section about libras. I love myself #bin poi kau.

Libra is among the most sociable of the signs. As scales of old were really "balances," so to do you seek balance in all that Libra does. You respond to situations with grace as Libra attempts to put others at ease. Artistically, Libra tries to balance form, content, colors and elements, and for this reason can be drawn toward creative endeavors.

The greatest balancing act is between self and others, and it is here that many Libras focus their energy. Here, in the realm of interpersonal relationships, you are a champion. Libra know how to be the charming host or hostess. Libra can sense what others want before they ask for it. And you can make the needs of others a higher priority than your own. In fact, Libra is the shuttle diplomats of the zodiac, going back and forth between the extremes until a solution is negotiated.

The Libra motto might be "To every action there is an opposite and equal reaction." It is your innate sense of cause and effect that makes you so effective as a strategist. Whether it's playing chess, relationship counseling or civic planning, you know how to be effective while staying in the middle of the road. Your easygoing attitude can serve you and others well, but don't forget that your needs cannot go totally unfulfilled or you won't have anything to give to others.

..................................................................................................Taken from, hufftingtonpost.com

Ha they missed indecisive and a procrastinator. Quoting someone I know, "Librans make the best friends." And yes I'm praising myself. It's what I do best #self praise is no praise.

Stay tuned for photos from Prague. Sooooon.
