The kraken is awake from a 4 month hibernation and is grumpy. I did CPR on myself cuz I fainted from the cold. It snowed in April/ Spring *points to window* *curses weather*. Anyway see no more ads ------------>
cuz inactive for too long #stupid.
Can never put my head to something for long. Let's hope my marriage lasts hahaha. Blame my astrological sign. Been wasting my time playing tarot cards on the tablet too.
Nah, a section about libras. I love myself #bin poi kau.
Libra is among the most sociable of the signs. As scales of old were really "balances," so to do you seek balance in all that Libra does. You respond to situations with grace as Libra attempts to put others at ease. Artistically, Libra tries to balance form, content, colors and elements, and for this reason can be drawn toward creative endeavors.
The greatest balancing act is between self and others, and it is here that many Libras focus their energy. Here, in the realm of interpersonal relationships, you are a champion. Libra know how to be the charming host or hostess. Libra can sense what others want before they ask for it. And you can make the needs of others a higher priority than your own. In fact, Libra is the shuttle diplomats of the zodiac, going back and forth between the extremes until a solution is negotiated.
The Libra motto might be "To every action there is an opposite and equal reaction." It is your innate sense of cause and effect that makes you so effective as a strategist. Whether it's playing chess, relationship counseling or civic planning, you know how to be effective while staying in the middle of the road. Your easygoing attitude can serve you and others well, but don't forget that your needs cannot go totally unfulfilled or you won't have anything to give to others.

Ha they missed indecisive and a procrastinator. Quoting someone I know, "Librans make the best friends." And yes I'm praising myself. It's what I do best #self praise is no praise.
Stay tuned for photos from Prague. Sooooon.

Twenty Thirteen
Sempena the new year (and the fact that I'm not dead) I wish to express my sincere gratitude to all for your kindness and support. 2012 has been a great year no doubt so I need to shower myself with more gifts. HAHAHAHAHAHA I know that last sentence doesn't relate. But who knows when the next meteor is coming to hit earth? I want to die a happy person so I need more presents (get the hint?) hahahaha. I know Jee will find this paragraph very pessimistic cuz of the word 'death' that keeps appearing ZZZ. Don't wanna dwell on this topic anymore *abrupt end*. P.S.: I am optimistic.
So like everyone on facebook who're posting about their new year resolutions, I've also come up with my 5-year plan #kiasumax which I intend to keep ok. Although I'm widely known as the san fen zhong re du punya person (three minute heat) this plan will bug me forever till I eventually achieve it.
Corrinne's Legen-waitforit-dary 5-year Plan:
1. Graduate
2. Get a job in Selangor. PLEASEEEEEE. If possible become a model/ actress/ air stewardess hahahahahaha.
3. Find my perfect wedding dress.... No, actually this doesn't apply cuz I want a few wedding gowns and perfect is equivalent to ONE.
4. Get married by age 27
5. Complete my list of bags I wanna get from the UK cuz when I start working I will have no time to shop. And also cuz I made a promise to not buy anymore bags in Malaysia with two exceptions ie, I can bagshop when I'm travelling and if the bag is a gift.
6. Buy a house/ condo/ apartment anything la as long as I get a walk-in wardrobe I'm happy
7. Buy a fully automated car ie, a car that can autopark and with as many cameras installed on its exterior as possible
8. Plan my wedding
9. Get a dog and name it Honey
10. Quit my job and open something else (subject to change.... it depends on my current hobby in five years. And whether I love my job)
THE END
*lifts glass* To 2013!!!
May it be a year filled with blessings to every human, animal and alien in this Universe.

Turning 21
Before I went back to Malaysia (in June) I told myself I'd write a lot of blog posts so that I reach at least 100 entries this year but my target is a little unreachable cuz I conveniently forget everything I promised. Hahahaha. I'm your typical hangat hangat tahi ayam kind of girl ok. I super beh tahan the vast difference between entry numbers from month to month ie; zero entries in July, August etc maybe one day I'll write sooo many entries and backdate them #playcheat. I was supposed to do it over summer holidays but I ended up shaking my legs the whole time. (I got leg muscles now!)
My 21st birthday! (21 October!!! Take your pens out and mark it on your calendar!!!)
P.S.: I stopped growing at 21...
P.P.S: There was another dinner at Slug and Lettuce too but no pics here cuz I forgot my camera. So please don't get offended ok? *kiss kiss* I show no favouritism.

#1
Dinner at Radisson Blu Hotel. I had grilled lobsterrrrr. Yums. Although it wasn't as good as the one at Burger and Lobster, London, but still, I love shellfish. Lobsters are the best cuz they're bigger than prawns and consumer-friendly compared to crabs.
Continued with a karaoke session at K2 - the must-do event for every birthday celebration...

#5
And my birthday pressie... Although I chose it myself hahaha.
#6
Prettiest purse ever.
Psst... I only chose it because of the bow just so you know.

The haul of brown and yellow bags.
Nah, I want to show off my baobei bag from LV :') It has to last me a long long long long time for the price I paid. I'm thinking 30 years. Nice or not??
But my baobei suffered a fall after less than 3 weeks. *Heartbroken* Mummy will be more careful next time.
Hahaha and I know there's a rubbish bag, an empty bottle and a random heel that fell off my shoe rack in the background. People asked you to look at the bag. Zzzz.
This is Paris pang sai pang buay chu #constipated

Summer of 2012
MISS ME MUCH?!
(I ownself reply to my question: Of course you do...)
Soooo, I have 13 more days before I leave *insert dramatic whyyyyyy* Let's see what I've been up to for the past 79 days of my life.
#1 The norms... Eat, sleep, eat and sleep again
#2 Spent hours pouring over IKEA magazines. I love furniture can? (also to get some inspiration for my future home hahahaha... See I think ahead)
#3 Spent another 37 hours building a castle in the air in Sims 3. It brings out the architect (and interior designer) in me so please don't say it's a lame game. Thankyouverymuch.
#4 Was mistaken for a Korean hiak hiak hiak
#5 Broke my promise to not shop in Malaysia but then everything is in ringgit so you can't blame me for breaking that promise. I won't shop when I go back to the UK ok
#6 I itchy fingers cut my own hair which turned out to be a disaster but it has grown now so everything is fine
#7 Babysat my niece
#8 Ffk-ed a private hospital about a job since they weren't gonna pay me (also because I'm gwai - my dad discouraged me from working since I'm gonna start working FOR LIFE, unless I become a siu lai lai [dream job] when I graduate next year. IS IT WRONG FOR ME TO ENJOY THE LAST THREE MONTHS OF DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!)
#9 Got ffk-ed about a mascot job cuz the employer is sexist and has a strict policy about mascot jobs being only for males. So I had to un-strike 'being a mascot' from my imaginary list of to-do things before I ugh... turn 100 years old
#10 Been one heck of a pilot since I've been flying many aeroplanes (from ffk-ing) Geddit geddit?? I should have my own airline.. preferably something like this

Summer joy
One more paper to go. I'm such a hardworking blogger, blogging during the exam period. Very bek chek cuz I didn't finish doing the past papers and most of the questions in the paper today were recycled. Obviously I haven't insaf-ed enough...
Some more I went for a picnic cuz apparently this is going to be the last week of sunny weather. I scared no more sun to enjoy after my exam so I must make full use of it now. Kiasu ma. But I ended up sitting in the shade la cuz my motto in life is, the fairer the better #shallow
Platt field... I PLANTED SOME TREES HERE OK *flexes muscles* as part of a leadership programme. I honestly don't see how that makes me a leader. Anyway, I don't know where they are, maybe die already.
After that I started packing my bag for the summer holidays. All new clothes with the tags still attached I'm so happy I can cry happy tears. Shopping is the best therapy who needs shrinks.
Skinny jeans that turned out to be super super skinny I couldn't feel my legs when I wore them due to the lack of blood flow wth. And this is a size 25. Who in the world fits into a size 24!!
P.S.: In case you were wondering, all the above items are from Forever 21 except the beige dress (2nd pic) which is from H&M.
My purse has got a big ass hole now.

Summary of My Week
Manchester is now very sunny. And hot... 20++ degrees can. It's a bit too hot for me but hot also I complain cold also I complain. I'm a person who is hard to please wth. But it's still better than the rain la so I'm happy. I hope the weather remains like this forever.
Plus, I'm done with 2 papers *running man dance* but I've got 3 more to go >:0 One after another. Sien die me. MUAHAHAHA this time I gwai gwai did the past papers given on BlackBoard at the last minute and 3-4 out of the 10 questions were based on that. MUAHAHAHA *huge sigh of relief* Cuz I usually don't bother looking at the past papers and every time I regret not doing so, so this time I insaf already, I did them. Ngek ngek ngek. Eh it took me 3.5 years to insaf!
I've also settled my stuff with the bank after... uh... bursting into tears. When someone tells you that you're 394 pounds in debt and you remembered very clearly that you didn't spend that amount of money on anything the first thing that comes to mind would be fraud ok. So I asked the lady if it was a fraud case but she said she cannot check for me until only after 3 days cuz by then we would know where the money was channelled to. I was scared and teared. Who can wait for 3 days and in the meantime allow another person to drain you of your money wth.
And then another lady came over to help. Ngek ngek ngek. Apparently I had been non stop swiping my card to pay for my Forever21 shit and although the payment did not go through, my account will still be credited. So I'll have to wait for about 2-3 days before all my money is returned to me *stops crying* Ahh... the bank people are awfully nice people <3 The first lady even told me not to worry if it were a fraud case cuz they would settle everything for me and return the laundered money too but I cried anyway. Sigh. I don't want to shop anymore la. Say only.
I have a lame joke to end my entry. What colour is Spiderman? Faster guess.

Corrinne's Bucketlist
I finished my first (lousy) paper today in which I bullshitted my way through but it feels like I'm on holiday?! WTH. Motivation, where are you?
Too free so I came up with a bucket list.
#1 Become the maid of honour for Lee Mei Chi's wedding.
#2 Become the maid of honour for Dorrene Lim's wedding.
#3 Become the maid of honour for Koh Jing Hui's wedding.
#4 Become the maid of honour for Yiki Lew's wedding.
#5 Become the maid of honour for Yeoh Yew Lee's wedding.
#6 Become the maid of honour for Jinny Choong's wedding.
#7 Become the maid of honour for Random-person-I-just-met-10-minutes-ago's wedding.
#8 Become the over-sized flower girl for Fong Wan Hui's wedding.
#9 Become the best man for Aloysius Chong's wedding.
#10 Become the bride at MY wedding.
P.S.: Please don't be offended if I left anyone out. Obviously I want to be your maid of honour *begging on my knees* but it's impossible to include everyone in here.
Don't know la maybe I will downgrade myself to Bridesmaid cuz I don't want to get stage fright.
OK, 2nd bucket list now.
#1 Make a tree house.
#2 Grow a money tree.
#3 Bathe with a yellow toy duck in the bath.
After writing this entry I feel like I really have no purpose in life lor *emo* HOW? I can't even come up with a decent bucket list for myself. Meh. I think I'll have to bring forward my trip to Nepal to find my life's purpose. Imagine me sitting at the top of the mountain meditating
and breathing air that is fresher than anywhere else in the world. WHAT A PRETTY SIGHT!
The more I think about it the more I'm convinced that I should go to Nepal soon.

Mother's Day 2012
I was trying to study for my upcoming exam, I really was. But I have the attention span of a gold fish and my brain just turned back time on its own to the year when I was 3 years old wth. I know if I don't blog about this I'd just keep thinking about it the whole time and won't be able to concentrate on my studies.
You know how some people fear infants especially crying babies (in my case)? It's not weird. In fact paedophobia is the medical term used for these people. I really cannot tahan babies when they cry. Don't go away and say "Corrinne is so mean. She hates babies. Who in the world hates babies anyway? They are the cutest things on earth." In my defence, I never said I hated babies. I just cannot tahan crying babies ok.
Please la I used to hand-raise my puppies. Puppies DO cry in the middle of the night too. Since I jaga-ed my dogs with tender loving care, I woke up, made milk formulated specially for puppies wth, waited for the milk to reach body temperature, fed them and sung them to sleep before I continued sleeping. So don't say I'm heartless.
Anyway I used to be an intolerable cry baby. A spoilt brat of a child. I had 3 people take care of me wth. And how do I know all this cuz I'm pretty sure my brain wouldn't have remembered the things that happened a gazillion and one years ago? It's cuz during EVERY Chinese New Year, my aunts and mum will have nothing else to talk about except how naughty I was as a child. :S
Here's the thing:
1. I used to be such a clean freak I insisted that my mum change my clothes whenever I had a drop of water on them. Literally. So you can expect that I never played with mud.
2. I ate so slowly my maid fell asleep while feeding me wth.
3. I slept only when I was in a moving vehicle so the car naturally became my parents' bed as well. My bedtime contributed to the air pollution wth.
The list goes on. I suppose? Don't know la I always hide myself whenever they start talking about the past.
So here's wishing you a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, mummy.

The Last Day of Clinical Tutorials
Finally. I'm rid of (depressing) hospital visits for the semester.
We had presentations and patient interviewing sessions as usual. My friend did a presentation on myocardial infarction (aka heart attack). His patient also suffers from respiratory tract infection which produces a greenish mucus. Whatever la it was something along those lines. I must say his presentation was by far the most 'interesting'. Cuz he included pictures like this:
Seriously. When I saw it I couldn't stop laughing. Eh please la you know you want to laugh so come laugh with me. It sent me into fits I looked like I was suffering an epileptic attack. But no one else in the room was laughing... except me wth. And the more I tried to suppress my laughter, the funnier the picture seemed. Ang mohs and I have totally different laughing threshold points (my friend is from Hong Kong by the way).
I was fitting quite badly actually. I couldn't stop fidgeting in my chair trying to occupy my mind with something else... anything else for that matter. I zipped and unzipped my bag countless times. Placed my hands over my mouth in a vain attempt to smother the laughter which only made it even worse. The sounds came out wrong WTH. So I finally resorted to excessive drinking of water. Whenever I felt like laughing, I drank water. By the end of the tutorial my bladder felt like it was going to burst.
It's probably just me. Or my hormones. I seem to laugh uncontrollably at the silliest, lamest jokes recently like the other day when my lecturer suddenly laughed for no reason. That sent me into a giggling episode that took 10 minutes before it died down. Period.

I Wrote Myself A Biography
I don't know what to blog about today (and because everyone is busy now so I know no one will be reading this) so I figured I'd blog about myself. What's better than to get to know myself more wth.
Random fun facts about me duh:
#1 I'm an airhead
The only reason why I want to get married at 26 (or at most 27) is cuz I don't want to look old and wrinkled and pruney in my wedding dress wth. Maybe to some 26 is a young age to get married at. And if they think that the marriage is cuz of an 'accident', to prove them wrong I'd only conceive 2 years after WTH (as long as it's before 30).
#2 I'm obsessed about being a bridesmaid
I constantly attempt to match make my friends (failed attempts of course) I think I must have been Cupid in my previous life. The reason for this is so that they find good boyfriends (and future husbands) then I can pester them into marriage at the age of 25. This way I can be the bridesmaid/ maid of honour at many weddings before my own. Smart eh? I'm not such an airhead after all.
#3 I'm messy and I hate packing or cleaning
Most people wouldn't think I'm messy cuz I have rather neat handwriting *pats self on back* but I told you already- never judge a book by its cover. You can't blame me for being messy also la. Blame my astrological sign- Libra. Here's a snippet I got off the internet.... "the Libra living on his own could either have a very messy place or a very intricately decorated place". I guess I'm the former. Oh well.
#4 I'm a procrastinator
And heck I'm good at it *awards self* I eat, sleep and cook (note: these are necessities in life) all in the name of 'surviving' so I have a good reason for putting off work to a later date. But if you're my employer and you happen to be reading this, I always hand in my work ON TIME ok. Please don't sack me.
OK la I'll keep the rest for next time or else you'll read until your eyes pop out of their sockets.

The Dessert
Taddah!! Look at my appetising dessert! I hereby name it "Corrinne's Awesome Honeydew with Haagen Dazs (cookies & cream) Ice-cream Dessert That Should Make It Into the Guinness World Records". I know it only looks like honeydew in a HD tub wth but there's ice cream underneath it ok.
I couldn't care less presentation-wise cuz whatever enters the body will eventually come out from you-know-where as brown matter with a certain smell. It was also cuz I'm currently on a mission to help save the planet by producing less household chemicals ie, your washing liquid. I don't want the world to succumb to natural disasters caused by global warming shit ok. I worked too long (*cough* 16 years) to let my efforts go to waste so I WANT MY CERTIFICATE BEFORE THE WORLD VAPOURISES. (Read: Cuz I was too lazy to wash the bowl)
Eating ice-cream on a cold day is the worst idea any sane person could come up with. It's May now but the weather sure as hell is freezing. So I err defrosted my ice-cream in the microwave WTH. Eh hello it was also very hard (cuz it was frozen) I couldn't scoop anything up with the spoon. I had to use niu li (bull's strength) with every effort I made which wasn't very productive cuz I only managed to dig up a few millimetres worth of ice-cream I couldn't even taste anything wth.
It was also so hard that I spoiled my spoon. It bent wth. So putting it into the microwave was my last resort. And a pretty smart one too cuz I get to enjoy water-cream instead.
P.S.: If you want to use this method to soften your ice-cream, please do not set the microwave to 1 minute. 5 seconds would do I guess? You try and then let me know la ok.

Exams, How I Love You
It's my favourite month of the year #sarcasm cuz exams are just around the corner. Every December and April, I'm screwed. Ilovemyself.
#1 Messed up body clock
30 minute naps become 3 hour ones and I end up waking in the middle of night.
#2 Messed up hormones
Pimples are mushrooming on my face and 90% of the time I'm in a foul mood.
#3 Messed up head
I feel immensely guilty when I slack the whole day.
#4 Messed up nutrition
I start eating instant food. My dinner consists of baked beans and frankfurters which of course doesn't contain any nutrients. So I take shitloads of vitamins to replace any nutrients I lack and bananas to prevent constipation wth.
P.S: Please do not follow this diet cuz you may end up malnourished and die WTH.
#5 Messed up vital stats
I ate three tubs of Haagen Dazs' and uncountable bars of chocolates within a week cuz they're happy foods so now I'm a 32-100-34.
#6 I will rot in hell
Numerous empty promises I made to my friend to study in the library cuz I always end up ffk-ing him so much so that I qualify to be a pilot now.
Every December and April I'm filled with regret and remorse for not studying at the beginning of the term like I promised myself.
This is the typical life cycle of a student (unless you're a nerd or a genius or seriously hardworking).

Corrinne is Domesticated
One of the things I hate the most is grocery shopping but bo pien I still have to do it unless I want to die of starvation. It's my weekly errand exercise which I suppose is beneficial for my health. Studying overseas has made me so independent (although a handful of people will disagree with this) over the last three years *pats self on back* Ok la, studying anywhere away from home for that matter.
When I first enrolled in college I stayed in the student hostel. On the first night I waited to be served dinner. Manatau they didn't cuz it wasn't a catered hall wth. I waited from 6pm. Until 7pm. By 8pm I was too hungry I ended up eating the sausage buns I brought with me (luckily I had food) or else I wouldn't be typing this entry.
Ok, that was stupid of me but let's not dwell on that fact anymore. Anyway, I really dislike grocery shopping cuz I'm an indoor person wth. The more I stay at home the better. In fact my daily routine during the holidays consists of sitting and sleeping so much so that I feel like a vegetable minus the stalks (lembik). You can literally see the flab on my tummy beginning to form.
Eh hello it's not that I'm lazy but every time I want to leave the house I have to prepare myself mentally, physically and emotionally for whatever torture the weather hurls at me ok. The hurdles in life. It's so cold outside my knuckles turn blue. I even broke down and cried once WTH. HAHAHAHA. (I don't understand how the angmohs can just wear a shirt and shorts and play football. Maybe cuz they're doing sports but I'd still drop dead frozen.) Plus I don't own a car. Even if I did I can't drive. I expect to be driven around cannot meh *arrogant*
And then, after buying the stuff I have to walk back. Although it's just a 7 minute walk, with 2L of milk it feels like an hour *sigh* Never mind la, I am willing to sacrifice my arm for milk. See... you don't have to be envious of my life #self pity
By the way, I always have the option of buying groceries online. Muahahaha. But then the way I choose my chicken and fruits is worse than choosing a husband wth #picky I think the promoter would die looking at me do my shopping. My chicken must not have a single feather sticking out of it while my banana must not have any black spots. When I bring them home after hours of choosing I find out that they aren't as perfect as they seemed. So bek chek.
True story.

Text Language
I'm beginning to think that my Whatsapp/ BBM/ Skype/ MSN/ normal mobile texting buddies hate me. Cuz I'm too lazy to type proper sentences and always use simplified words, way simplified words. So now I'm one heck of a lonely girl cuz nobody wants to text me *sheds a tear* Here's a list of the words that frequently pop up in my text messages:
I think if I started spelling 'free' as 'fri' no one would ever text me again.
1. Gris- Greece (cuz I plan on going to Greece during the summer)
2. Huni/ suni/ funi- Honey/ Sunny/ Funny
3. Dowan- Don't want
4. Lidis/ Lidat- Like this/ Like that
5. Mitup- Meet up
6. B2in- Between
7. Gr8- Great
9. Dono- Don't know
10. Nomo- No more
11. Sumo- Some more
12. Laf- Laugh
13. Gd9- Good night
14. Lmk- Let me know
15. D- Already
For the other unlisted words, in text language, just drop the vowels. For example, srsly (seriously), cls (class) and pls (please).
... And the list goes on. Faster go and memorise them now so we can text each other.
I used to be the person who loathed texting in this manner cuz I find it hard to interpret them but I guess I don't anymore. Please la I was the girl who used to think T.T was the short form of tata and each time my friend sent me a text with T.T, I'd reply with an abrupt bye wth.
For example, "I can't my keys anywhere. T.T" Then my reply would be, "Aww. Try looking in your pockets. Bye!" :S Or "I got kicked in the shin today. It hurts like mad. T.T" "I'm sure the pain will go away soon. Try rubbing some medicine on it. Bye!" I hope my friends didn't feel like I was brushing them off. :S
Now Corrinne is THE PRO. Thanks to the urban texting language dictionary ie; the Corritionary wth. Typing like this saves me a lot of time and energy ok.
However, me being me, I know my limits. I never ever text Mum like this or else I'll get nagged about the importance of using proper Queen's English. Hehe.
"Hi Mum. Juz 2 letya no, I'm gud. Whn u fnly cn rd my txt lang w/o hvin my sis intrprt it, u'll grad wif 1st cls hons."
I think if I started spelling 'free' as 'fri' no one would ever text me again.

Y I SO suay
2012 has not been my year. So far.
CORRINNE, Y U SO SUAY?!
(Speaks in my dramatic Malaysian drawl) I tell you... There was a day that I fell down the stairs onto my bum *butt pain* My housemate saw me tumbling away and laughed his ass off. And to make things worse, he called me 'stupid'. Si beh bo shiok him. I will wait and see how he falls next time cuz what goes around comes around. Revenge is sweet.
As if falling is not suay enough, I lost my student ID and had to get a replacement for 10pounds *heart pain* but that's ok cuz I shamelessly asked the lady at the counter to take a new picture of me! Muahahaha. Since I have my consumer rights, or student rights, or whatever sh*t rights, I might as well put them to good use.

#1 The New ID
Why is my face so round! Ugh.
Until now I have no idea what happened to my previous ID. I tried searching in my school building, hunted high and low in my room and among the dust mite's home under my bed. For goodness sake I even asked the person manning the car park opposite my house if anyone handed a student ID in to him. (So much effort for a lost ID) But to no avail... And then I got very bek chek with myself for losing something so important. Oh well.
If someone picked it up, I don't think he/she will find much use for it cuz they don't have my library password. So it's pretty much useless. Y? Y U NO RETURN IT??
So I came up with the perfect conclusion:
The person must have loved me so much he/she decided to paste my ID up on his/her wall. That way, he/she gets to peep at my picture before sleeping every night.
And then my housemate came up with his conclusion:
The person must have beh tahan my face he/she decided to throw my ID into the fire wth.
*sigh*
Anyway, I was given the option of personalising my ID cuz it had been such a suay month for me that I managed to gain the lady's sympathy. I swear I saw her shed a tear.

#2 The Personalised ID
If I were the head of the university, all the IDs will look like that. And no la, I wasn't given the honour of getting a personalised ID.
Now what I have to do is to bathe with 7 different types of flowers to buang suay (to get rid of my bad luck). But I only have three.
This is the end of my suay stories. You didn't expect more, did you? Walaoeh if I were more suay than this I'd dig a hole and bury myself.

Depressing Jobs
If you asked me to name the world's most depressing jobs, the list will go like this:
#1 Hang man/executioner
#2 Healthcare professionals
Imagine LEGALLY taking someone's life away.
In fact you're paid to do it.
The guilt.
I don't know about you but I suddenly feel very thankful that I'm not studying medicine. At least as a pharmacist I get to choose my own working environment which is either in a hospital, community or industrial pharmacy. (On a brighter note, all professions can eventually branch into teaching- that'd be an extra option!)
Come to think of it, maybe criminals deserve to be punished. The world would be a much better place without them #heart of stone. But if you were a healthcare professional, your patients have as much right as you do to continue living. I'm not gonna dwell on euthanasia cuz from my personal point of view, it really is up to the patient himself/family members (for comatose patients). Of course it has to be in the patient's best interest. Anyway, *coughs* this is not in my job scope so I don't have to think about it .
I feel depressed cuz today I interviewed an 85 year old man who is scheduled for a heart bypass surgery on Monday. My heart went out to him. I was gonna burst into tears on the spot but I tahan-ed cuz I'm strong. Under this scenario, I'm not a #drama queen. It IS very sad ok.
My friend once told me that she thought the elderly are a group of 'pitiful' people. I see what she means now. Diseases, death of your spouse (if you outlive him/her), unfilial children (in some cases)... you tell me, pitiful or not? So it does seem reasonable for me to wish that everyone stopped growing at the age of 21 years.
WHY... WHY SO DEPRESSING ONE?!
*emo*
I am officially thanking Dad now for stopping me from pursing a career as a doctor all those years ago. A 'Dr' title in front of your name is doubtlessly awesome. And that would have been the sole reason had I chosen to study medicine.
*continues to emo*
P.S: My dream is to be a siu lai lai in the future. Someone please take note. Muahaha.
